3. | Mary Jane HOWARD died in Siloam, North Carolina. Notes:
!Marion 0001, Pg. 44, 86, "Marion Family", by Ola Marion Atkinson, Siloam, N.C.,
February 21, 1964
Her daughters, Emily and Mary must have died young.
Records show that she and her sons, Daniel and Jeremiah, Jr. went to Sullivan
County, Tennessee sometime after 1850. No mention is made of the two girls.
Also, records show that Mary Howard Marion returned to Nortn Carolina with her
son Jeremiah, Jr. before 1870. She married Johnny Hall on July 14, 1870. Mary
is burried in the same cemetery as her son and his wife at the Friendship
Baptist Church about 3 miles from Siloam, North Carolina. Jessie Almer Marion
of Blountville, Tennessee says "I remember my father telling about his
grandmother going to Tennessee and returning to North Carolina when he was
quite small."
!My source document shows Mary Howard Marion as both Mary (Molsy) Howard and as
Mary Jane Howard Marion. [DWM - 1991]
