Hey David,

Yes, if I did it correctly I took my line back to William Marshall.

This is the route I took:

William Marshall --> Thomas Marshall, Sr. --> William Marshall, II -->
Thomas Marshall, III --> William Marshall, Sr. --> Henry Marshall --
Greensville Marshall --> Alpha Jane Marshall + Thomas Nashville Johnson, Sr.
Elcie Jane Johnson + Samuel Jasper Jenkins, Sr. --> Alfa Jane Jenkins + John Allen Farr--> Iowa Elsie Farr + William Stephen Grandon --> Annamae Grandon + Floyd William Leach --> Marjorie Anne Leach Beatty (me).

I do hope my route is correct. Thanks for the quick replies. Marjie

From: jwearn@kennesaw.edu (Jeannie Wearn) To: DMarsh1041@aol.com
I spoke with my husband last night, and this is his grandfather's family (George Wayne Patterson). His Mom is Mary Patterson. He remembers a cousin Will Patterson, also in the insurance business, who lived in Charlotte as well. There is one correction. Olin Wearn had 2 sons, Joseph Henry Wearn (not Olin, Jr) and George Patterson Wearn (my husband).

It is difficult to assimilate all this quickly, but, if you are interested, I might be able to help. I have a very accurate book (not gedcom) of the Wearn family and another on the Johnson family (Winston Salem), I believe. They are back further in the Stafford family. My husband's great-grandfather was Will Stafford (Winston Salem). He was Mary Patterson's maternal grandfather. There is more, I didn't have time to look into it all last night. I hope I haven't confused this information.

Can you answer one question for me? To speed up my digging, where does Morrison tie to the Pattersons of Mt. Airy? NOTE: I have photos of George W. Patterson, and many books, etc. Let me know what I can share, and in what form.

We have, until now, absolutely no info on the Patterson family. Are your genealogy pages transferrable to other genealogy software?

I would love to find out where the parents of Mary Ann ended up. Their names were William and Minerva Smith McMillan. From: wburt@earthlink.net (Wilbur Burt) To: DMarsh1041@aol.com CC: List@marshallgenealogy.org My Marshall relatives lived in Forsyth Co. NC. Susanna Marshall, daughter of Thomas Riley Marshall was my gr-gr grandmother. One of her sons was Joseph Edward Crews. He married Mary Ann McMillan (or McMillian).

I would love to find out where the parents of Mary Ann ended up. Their names were William and Minerva Smith McMillan. I believe they may have gone to Missouri or Illinois in the mid 1800's---like so many other relatives did. Mary Ann had a sister named Paulina----and brothers John, Frederick, and Robert.

Since we are all "connected" somehow-----would anyone know anything about these people.

Thanks,

Barbara Crews Burt

How are you related? George N Snodgrass was born In Salina, Saline, KS Nov 9 1879 and died in Hayden, Gila County, AZ May 11, 1938. Valeria died in Tucson, Pima County, AZ Aug 1995. Both daughters are dead. Lois Alberta died Nov 2, 1972 and Flora Rae died Feb 29, 2000 in Tucson, Pima Co, AZ.

I won't give you any information on anyone else because I don't want it on the Internet. I do have some additional information on some of her siblings and their families. I will take a closer look at your site and see what I can add.

Do you have any additional information on Thomas Evans? I keep hitting brick walls.
