      Moore, Matilda Caroline
Birth : 1835 , Surry County, North Carolina
      Death : 1880
      Gender: Female
      Parents:
      Father: Moore, Samuel Dalton
      Mother: Franklin, Matilda Caroline

      Family:
      Spouse:
      Gilmer, Samuel Jr.
Birth : 1827 , Surry County, North Carolina
      Death : AFT 1880
      Gender: Male

      Children:
      Gilmer, Alice Dalton
      Gilmer, Gertrude
      Gilmer, Jessie Slade

There are at least two children not listed here: Mary Belle Gilmer and
Bernard Gilmer. Mary Belle Gilmer married James Grayson Banner, my great
grandfather. Although Mary Belle died long before my birth, I did meet
Bernard.. I think that Mary Belle Gilmer's name BELLE is a family name, but
      I cannot prove it yet.
Matilda Caroline Moore was the daughter of Samuel Dalton Moore and Matilda
Caroline Franklin. Matilda Franklin was the daughter of Gov. Jesse Franklin
of North Carolina and Meekie Perkins.
I would appreciate any lead you can furnish on Samuel L. Gilmer, Jr. While it
is obvious that his father would have been Sr., I can find no information on
him at all -- even from family Bibles

Of course. I am sorry that I didn't send you the connection. My name is Grayson Banner, 6806 Pershing Ave, St. Louis, MO 63130 314.727 0266 I am the grandson of Bernard G. Banner, late of Gastonia, NC. He was the son of Mary Belle Gilmer and James Grayson Banner. Family history is a hobby for me. I was just recently asked by my mom to do some additional research and that is how I came across your listing. Hope this is satisfactory. If you need more info, let me know.
