      Thank you for your website.

I am wondering if you would like a correction. Esther Baker was really born Esther Reed, 1832. The daughter of James Reed or Reid. She married James Baker, who died at Gettysburg. They had one daughter. Esther later married Adam Marion. The marriage certificate is Adam Marion and Esther Baker. But she was a widow.

Sorry, all my information is packed away at home for a couple of years. But this is my recollection of the great grandparents of my husband MELVIN J. MARION.
Also, an addition: Adam and Esther had a daughter Virginia before Robert Lee Marion. Virginia married Green Robertson. She died rather young, leaving at least three living children.

      Thank you,

      Denise Bascom Marion
