Hello!
I was so excited to find George and Isabel Fry -- my cousins and I are researching this part of the family. Isabel's maiden name was Mullen, I think, and they were married in Hancock County, IL on 2/10/1842.
George and Isabel had at least 9 boys, one of whom was Andrew Jackson Fry, my great-grandfather.
Andrew Jackson Fry was born in Coatsburg, IL, in 1860, and married Mary Jane Webster (born in Nashville in 1863). They had a farm in Galena, KS for many years and had 8 children. One son survived infancy, that would be Orven -- we are still trying to track him down -- he went to Stillwater, Oklahoma, I think.
Andrew Jackson and Mary Jane Webster Fry's daughter Maude Ellen Fry married Ira Franklin Barton in 1910.
Maude and Ira had one child, Mary Maud Barton, who moved to Southern California and married Ramsay Lord Harris in 1943 (Ramsay was born in India).
I am Laura Mary Harris (Ware) -- I live in New Mexico, and I now have two children and two (almost three) grandchildren.
If you are interested and would like any more info, please do not hesitate to e-mail me at: amalaura@hotmail.com -- my cousins and I would love to hear from you!
Sincerely, Laura Ware
Andrew married Mary Jane WEBSTER about 1875 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mary was born in 1863 in Nashville, Tennessee; died about 1950 in Allambra, Los Angeles County, California. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Several "distant Mullen cousins" and I are cooperating/sharing/comparing information on the Mullen and allied families. We'll happily share what we have collected...unfortunately, Aden Mullen and Jane Brazel Fry are one of our "brick walls", too. At this point, we have "no clue" what became of Aden! As you probably know, Aden abandoned Jane and their children. We have some information regarding his descendants...however, questions remain and there are some inconsistencies in the data. Aden also married Carrilla Ann Taylor abt 1822 in IL -- probably, Scott Co., IL -- and deserted her, too. Carilla d 1857, Scott Co., IL -- their only known child, Frances "Fannie" Mullen was raised by members of her mother's family. She m Joshua Whitesite 1872 in Scott Co., IL...they moved to Vernon Co., MO where they lived out their lives.
I'm sending a 4 generation GEDCOM for Patrick Mullen & Hanna Pruitt...which ludes Aden as one of their children. NOTE: It is our ASSUMPTION that Aden is their child...however, it is possible, he was a brother or cousin to Patrick Mullen. Despite concentrated efforts, we have not yet documented his birth/death or burial information -- or proof of relationship to Patrick Mullen & Hannah Pruitt. David, since I'm uncertain how much data you'd like to have, I opted to send only 4 generation rather than "cover you up" with unwanted data; please be aware, we'll happily share all we have -- gaps, mysteries 'n all! Just let me know.
Only within the past few months have we learned names for Patrick Mullen and Hannah Pruitt. We were confident we would then be able to develop ancestral information, but that has NOT been the case. Thus far, we have NO information on either of them, i.e. no siblings, parents or ancestors!! The ONLY data we have for Hannah came from 1850 and 1860 IL census...indication she was b NC about 1793-1796.
The picture of ANDREW JACKSON FRY family, including his mother, Isabel Bailey Mullen/Fry, and his children is great! I'm interested to know who supplied you with this terriffic picture...would you share that with me along with contact information?
We don't yet have documentation for death and burial information for George M. Fry & Isabelle Bailey Mullen; do you happen to have that data?
Also...will you share a GEDCOM with me re your data on ancestors/descendants of George M. Fry and Isabell Bailey Mullen? Unless I've overlooked instructions, there seems no way to download a GEDCOM from your website.
I'm taking the liberty of copying in the "distant cousins" I mentioned...we all descend from children of Patrick Mullen and Hannah Pruitt.
Dara Miller, Des Moines, IA -- descends from Aden Mullen & Jane B. Fry;
Earlene Mullen Bradley, Oviedo, FL -- descends from Aden Mullen and Jane B. Fry;
Gale Mullen, Erie, KS -- descends from Andrew Jackson Mullen;
Sonny Bailey, Clinton, MO - descends from Eli Carter Mullen;
Jim Montgomery, McAlester, OK - descends from Eli Carter Mullen;
Betty J. Ferguson, Aurora, MO - descends from Eli Carter Mullen;
Pat L. McDowell, Shreveport, LA - I descend from Abriam/Abraham Mullen.
I'll look forward to hearing from you, David.
Cheers!

Dara Miller, Des Moines, IA -- descends from Aden Mullen & Jane B. Fry;
Earlene Mullen Bradley, Oviedo, FL -- descends from Aden Mullen and Jane B. Fry;
Gale Mullen, Erie, KS -- descends from Andrew Jackson Mullen;
Sonny Bailey, Clinton, MO - descends from Eli Carter Mullen;
Jim Montgomery, McAlester, OK - descends from Eli Carter Mullen;
Betty J. Ferguson, Aurora, MO - descends from Eli Carter Mullen;
Pat L. McDowell, Shreveport, LA - I descend from Abriam/Abraham Mullen.
I'll look forward to hearing from you, David.
Cheers!

Hi David,
How nice to hear from you!
The only information I have on any of the siblings of Andrew Jackson Fry
comes from Russell Fry (rfry@4state.com), who is descended from George Fry,
another son of George M. and Isabel. You may already be in touch with him?
As far as the children of Andrew Jackson and Mary Jane Webster go, two boys,
Earnest and Orris died young. I've attached a family photo with the rest of
the "children." I think this photo was taken around 1920, but I'm not sure.
In front, left to right, are Andrew Jackson, Paula, and Mary Jane. In
back are Emma, Ada, Orven, Maude, and Ruth. I can give you birthdates, but
that info is at home and I am at work.
Paula married Byron Cory and had two boys. They lived in West Covina, CA
for many years. (I have more info at home -- and am not in touch with any
of them -- maybe Bob is??)
Emma married Alfred Pilgrim and they had two girls, Evelyn and Jenelle. I
am in touch with Evelyn's older son, Bob Pata (NPata@aol.com) and one of
Jenelle's granddaughters-in-law, Margarita Feldmiller
(margaritaaz@hotmail.com). For more info on their descendants, you can
e-mail them.
Ada married Louis Kropf and they lived in Alhambra, California for many
years. They had no children. Andrew and Mary Jane lived out their last
years with Ada and Louis.
Orven may have married someone named Lorene, and may have moved to
California or Oklahoma, I haven't been able to find him yet.
Maude was my grandmother, and you have some of my information. My father,
Ramsay Harris, was born in Dharwar, India, in 1900, and is approaching his
101st birthday on October 4th. (His older brother is now 102.) I have one
brother, Andrew (50), living in California, no issue. My daughters are Ana
Ware June (29) and Jennifer Crispen Ware (24). Ana's children are Soren
Skye Ramsay June (7), Mirabai Eliana Courpalais June (5), and Chiara Nicole
Soleil June (1).
Ruth Fry Griep married Raymond Griep, no issue.
Let me know what else I can help you with -- I do have more photos, but
haven't scanned them in yet.
I'm copying off both of my girls, Russell Fry, Bob Pata, Margarita
Feldmiller, and Traci Stone (who is also descended from George Fry) on this
e-mail.
Gotta get back to work -- thanks for contacting me.
Best wishes,
Laura

Hi David,
How nice to hear from you!
Best wishes,
Laura

Best wishes,
Laura

>Hello!
>
>I was so excited to find George and Isabel Fry -- my cousins and I are
>researching this part of the family. Isabel's maiden name was Mullen, I
>think, and they were married in Hancock County, IL on 2/10/1842.
>
>George and Isabel had at least 9 boys, one of whom was Andrew Jackson
>Fry, my great-grandfather.
>
>Andrew Jackson Fry was born in Coatsburg, IL, in 1860, and married Mary
>Jane Webster (born in Nashville in 1863). They had a farm in Galena, KS
>for many years and had 8 children. One son survived infancy, that would
>be Orven -- we are still trying to track him down -- he went to
>Stillwater, Oklahoma, I think.
>
>Andrew Jackson and Mary Jane Webster Fry's daughter Maude Ellen Fry
>married Ira Franklin Barton in 1910.
>
>Maude and Ira had one child, Mary Maud Barton, who moved to Southern
>California and married Ramsay Lord Harris in 1943 (Ramsay was born in
>India).
>
>I am Laura Mary Harris (Ware) -- I live in New Mexico, and I now have
>two children and two (almost three) grandchildren.
>
>If you are interested and would like any more info, please do not
>hesitate to e-mail me at: amalaura@hotmail.com -- my cousins and I would
