    Mrs. Mary A. Sparger, wife of Henry Sparger, d. last Friday at home on N. Center St.; Services at Methodist church by Rev. J. R. Wages of Decatur, bur. Willow Wild cem.; Methodist for 52 years; Maiden name: Mary Ann Cook; b. Surry County, N.C. 12 May 1827; Then lived in Surry Co. until 1876, to Bonham that year; Survivors: husband & 5 of 7 children, Jeff, John, Miss Mattie Sparger, Mrs. NEWMAN and Mrs. LOWRY of N.C.

    Mary married Henry SPARGER on 2 Dec 1846 in Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. Henry (son of John W. SPARGER, (4) and Sarah LYON) was born on 25 Feb 1826 in White Plains, Surry County, North Carolina; died on 6 Dec 1905 in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas; was buried on 7 Dec 1905 in Texas.
