September 19, 1834The tombstone of his wife, Eleanor,is next to his to the left. Hers was broken but still readable at the time I visited the graveyard in the 1990's. This cemetery is six miles north of Winston Salem in Stokes County, North Carolina. Drive up Baux Mountain Road until you reach Dusty Trail on the right. Go down Dusty Trail until you come to the end of the road. The cemetery is about 100 yards further on in the woods.
