| 29493 | Buried in the Oney Cemetary in White Oak Creek, Kentucky. William P. Oney and wife Perlina are the first listed on the 1870 Magoffin Co. Ky census, family #70 in the bloomington precinct. They are on the 1880 census #191 Pct. 3, Johnsons Fork, with children John, Catherine, age 12 and Sarah, age 9 and this confuses me (Joyce Perreault) as in 1870 Sarah was only 2 and should be age 12 on the 1880 census where it lists Catherine. Others were Emma, age 6, Mary, age 5, Nancy, age 4 and Williams mother Rhoda Oney age 60 was living with them also. The 1900 Maggofin Co. Ky census said Perlina was the mother of 13 children, only 5 living and 2 were at home: James and Lula. The 1910 Maggoffin Co. Ky. census lists William and Rhoda, his wife, as living with his daughters family: Lafayette Harper and wife Rhoda Ellen (Oney) Harper, #46 in the Grape Creek Pct. This time the census gives Rhoda as the mother of 5 children and 4 living. The number 5 children must be an error, there had to be at least 8, and would be 9 is sarah and catherine were not the same child. I find 3 of their children in the Oney cemetary that died before 1900: Mary Oney and Nancy A. Oney. | ONEY, William P. (I24802)
