Married to Thomas A. Blazer June 13, 1970. Two children: Cameron Jane Blazer (September 1, 1975, Charleston, SC) and Sarah Mary Hannan Blazer (December 17, 1979, Charleston, SC) Divorced 1995. Della Jo (Dodie) Marshall, born September 1950 in Florida. Married to Everett Vernon Presson ~1980. One child: Eliza Lowry Presson, born April 1985 in Charleston, SC. Your info on my grandfather's birth and death seems correct. My grandmother, Lois Lorraine Attaway was born Feb 20, 1920 in Beaufort, SC and died December 1996. As you can see if you look at my family tree, we are Marshalls at least two ways: as decendents of Peter Sidney Marshall from Indiana and more recently, as decendents of John Logan Marshall from Edgefield Cty, SC. I have had much less luck figuring out his Marshall heritage and would love to know anything you might have to tell me. Thanks again for getting back to me. JUNE 24, 2021 Obituary of Linnie Marie Talbot Linnie Marie Stubbs Talbot, age 83, died on June 24, 2021, in Memory Care Community/The Springs at South Biscayne in North Port, Florida. Linnie is survived by her half-brother Ralph Edward Sawyer jr. (Karolynn) of Round Rock, TX; stepdaughters Elizabeth Talbot Silva (Rick) of Union City, CA and Dorothy Talbot (Marcus Reilly) of Seattle, WA; and her grandchildren Christopher Michael Lee Sawyer (Abed Nader) of Georgetown, TX; Dru Martin Groves (David) of Bainbridge Island, WA; Kelly Silva of Oakland, CA; and Aimee Silva Hess (Michael) of Alexandria, VA. She was preceded in death by her mother Esther Adell Sawyer of Palestine, TX & Ft. Myers, FL; her birthfather Wilburn Nolon Stubbs of Grapeland, TX; her stepfather Ralph E. Sawyer of Palestine, TX; and her husband of almost 38 years, Max Verne Talbot jr. of Marco Island, FL. Linnie was born on August 29,1937 in Freeport, Houston County, Texas, to parents Esther Adell Whitaker and Wilburn Nolon Stubbs. She graduated from Palestine High School, TX in 1955. She then received her AA from Tyler Junior College along with a diploma from Texas Eastern School of Nursing in Tyler, TX. Linnie worked in the Medical Center Hospital in Tyler, TX from 1958-61. She served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1961-76 specializing in pediatrics, OB/GYN and Orthopedics, and spent 3.5 years as a Flight Nurse on both domestic and overseas patient air-evacuation flights, ferrying wounded soldiers between Frankfurt a/ Main, Germany and Walter Reed Army Hospital in Bethesda, MD. While assigned to an Air Force base in the Azores, Linnie enjoyed horseback riding and competed in equestrian steeple chase events. She took a tumble during an event and severely injured her right leg and pelvis and was evacuated to Walter Reed, thus ending her Flight Nurse assignments. After healing, she was assigned to Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, where she met her future husband Max V. Talbot jr. whom she married on October 16, 1971. Linnie and Max moved to Tyler, TX in 1976 where Linnie completed her BS in Nursing at the University of Texas @ Tyler. They retired to Marco Island, FL in 1979 and resided on Somerset Ct. for almost 30 years. For many years, Linnie sang in the United Church of Marco Island choir. Max and she traveled internationally on small group tours led by their church pastor. A succession of dachshunds and Corgis were the recipients of Linnie?s pampering. Her family and friends will always remember her as one drawn to babies and animals of all types. No memorial service is planned. The Neptune Society of Fort Myers, FL is handling cremation arrangements. The family would like to thank Plenary Guardian Robin Vazquez and the staff of Estate & Guardianship Management Services plus Linnie?s caregivers at The Springs and at Grand Care Plus for their compassionate care. I have always been told that Onie was born on May 4th, 1900. My father was William Macadoo Gerry (1918-1963) I barely know anything of my heritage due to my Dad's sudden, untimely death. We have only had brief and sporadic encounters with my relatives in Winston Salem. They are wonderful and I enjoyed their company, although only twice in my adult life. Lately I had been trying to find info on the internet. Seems as though I was getting a little push... I started to become so frustrated searching the Gerry line and today I finally decided the Marshall line may hold some promise as the name appeared often in the Moravian search I had found. I even sent out a prayerful plea to my ancestors to help me. Within 2 minutes I found your web-site! I was going to stop looking at all those names and go have a coffee, but decided to scroll a little more and EUREKA!!!! There they were! Thank you, thank you for this invaluable information. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baum was preceded in death by a son, David Scales; and a brother, Joe Bill Brown. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Hunters Chapel Church, and be conducted by the Rev. Darren Slate and the Rev. John McCann. | 29571 | Delores Marshall Harris "Ann" CHARLOTTE Ann Harris, 71, of Charlotte passed away Friday, July 4, 2014. She was born July 30, 1942 in Winston-Salem, NC and is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Wilson Marshall. She is survived by her mother, Estelle Lane Marshall, sister Linda Barringer, two sons Victor Alexander and Jimmy Alexander, grandson Drew Alexander and granddaughter Ashley Alexander. Ann was a dedicated and devoted employee of First Union/Wachovia Bank for 34 years (1972 - 2006) Corporate Trust Shareholder Services. After retiring from the bank she enjoyed taking dance lessons with the "Young At Heart" senior adults at Matthews United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed gardening, beach trips, spoiling her toy poodle, Angel, and relaxing on her patio each evening as the sun went down. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the Novant Health Hospice & Palliative Care staff including nurses Lynde Garmon and Lynda Gibbs. Also, to all of Ann's special friends and neighbors that always called to check on her and offer their support. Ann was an amazing person that was loved by all and will be missed dearly. A memorial service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at Noon Saturday, July 12, 2014, in the Chapel of J.B. Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte with the Rev. Frances Beam officiating. The family will greet friends from 11-12 prior to the service.
