| 30037 | From: "Donna in Dallas" To: Subject: GENEALOGY: Elizabeth Marshall's daughters, F.A. Rebecca and Mary Jane Westmoreland Date: Friday, November 21, 2003 1:57 PM Hi David, I'm the great-great-grandaughter of BOTH Flori Ann Rebecca Westmoreland AND her sister Mary Jane Westmoreland. They married brothers. Then one of each of their grandchildren married each other (2nd cousins). Those were my grandparents. CORRECTION FOR YOUR DATABASE: Flori Ann Rebecca Westmoreland married WILLIAM R. WIMER, not Wayne Wimmer. (Wimer is pronounced with a long "I".) Their marriage license info is at the official Illinois vital statistics web site. (Elizabeth Marshall Westmoreland's family was living in McLean County Illinois during the 1860 Census and they were in Douglas County Minnesota for the 1870 Census.) Here's some of the information I have: FLORI ANN REBECCA WESTMORELAND was born Feb. 13, 1847 in Winston Salem, Stokes Co., NC, and died May 24, 1896 in Hastings, Dakota County, Minnesota. She married WILLIAM R. WIMER on July 6, 1865 in Clinton, DeWitt County, Illinois. She and William are buried in the Lakeside Cemetery In Hastings, Minnesota. Their son BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ('FRANK') WIMER was my great-grandfather. Frank's daughter HAZEL KATE WIMER was my grandmother. MARY JANE WESTMORELAND was born November 10, 1848 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and died August 8, 1920 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. She married William's brother THOMAS WIMER. Their daughter ALICE ELIZABETH WIMER was my great-grandmother. Alice's son CLARENCE THOMAS CRAIG was my grandfather, and he married Hazel Kate Wimer (above). One of Clarence Thomas and Hazel Kate Wimer Craig's eight children was my father LOREN MELVIN CRAIG. Could you tell me who gave you the information on Flori Ann Rebecca? Or else could you give that person my contact information? I've got some questions about the Westmorelands. I'd also be interested in learning of anyone else who is interested in Flori Ann Rebecca and Mary Jane's families. I have a little more information about the names of Elizabeth Marshall's children and all of their birthdates. I also have the names of many of the children and grandchildren of F.A. Rebecca and Mary Jane Westmoreland Wimer. I can provide you with a studio photograph of (F.A. Rebecca Westmoreland's son) Benjamin Franklin (Frank) Wimer, his wife and 3 children, taken in 1905. I have it stored at an online picture-hosting site. Let me know if you're interested in any of this information. YOUR MARSHALL WEBSITE IS WONDERFUL! Finding it was like receiving an early Christmas present. I'd already gotten much of the information from a second cousin, and had found more online, but it's nice to be able to see it so clearly organized. And it's also interesting to see more about the Marshall descendancy, as well as the great pictures. I know you put a tremendous amount of time and effort into creating and maintaining your website. I sincerely appreciate your generosity in sharing the information with those of us who have an interest in family history. | 30041 | From: "Donna in Dallas" To: Subject: GENEALOGY: Elizabeth Marshall's daughters, F.A. | 30047 | From: "Laura Ware" To: Cc: Subject: Andrew Jackson Fry & family... Date: Thursday, September 06, 2001 4:16 PM Hi David, How nice to hear from you! The only information I have on any of the siblings of Andrew Jackson Fry comes from Russell Fry (rfry@4state.com), who is descended from George Fry, another son of George M. and Isabel. You may already be in touch with him? As far as the children of Andrew Jackson and Mary Jane Webster go, two boys, Earnest and Orris died young. I've attached a family photo with the rest of the "children." I think this photo was taken around 1920, but I'm not sure. In front, left to right, are Andrew Jackson, Paula, and Mary Jane. In back are Emma, Ada, Orven, Maude, and Ruth. I can give you birthdates, but that info is at home and I am at work. Paula married Byron Cory and had two boys. They lived in West Covina, CA for many years. (I have more info at home -- and am not in touch with any of them -- maybe Bob is??) Emma married Alfred Pilgrim and they had two girls, Evelyn and Jenelle. I am in touch with Evelyn's older son, Bob Pata (NPata@aol.com) and one of Jenelle's granddaughters-in-law, Margarita Feldmiller (margaritaaz@hotmail.com). For more info on their descendants, you can e-mail them. Ada married Louis Kropf and they lived in Alhambra, California for many years. They had no children. Andrew and Mary Jane lived out their last years with Ada and Louis. Orven may have married someone named Lorene, and may have moved to California or Oklahoma, I haven't been able to find him yet. Maude was my grandmother, and you have some of my information. My father, Ramsay Harris, was born in Dharwar, India, in 1900, and is approaching his 101st birthday on October 4th. (His older brother is now 102.) I have one brother, Andrew (50), living in California, no issue. My daughters are Ana Ware June (29) and Jennifer Crispen Ware (24). Ana's children are Soren Skye Ramsay June (7), Mirabai Eliana Courpalais June (5), and Chiara Nicole Soleil June (1). Ruth Fry Griep married Raymond Griep, no issue. Let me know what else I can help you with -- I do have more photos, but haven't scanned them in yet. I'm copying off both of my girls, Russell Fry, Bob Pata, Margarita Feldmiller, and Traci Stone (who is also descended from George Fry) on this e-mail.
