"Boatwright" seems more widely used prior to 1875. "Boatright" seems more widely used following 1875. Pinckney Pitman Lewis and Hattie L Boatwright were married around 3-September-1891, supposedly performed by B. H. Hoyle ( Methodist). There are different ideas concerning the location --- some say Hattie’s hometown near Charlotte, others say Rutherford County. It may have been performed near Charlotte and recorded in Rutherford County. Hattie L Boatwright was born 1 -November-1866 instead of 11-Novernber-1866. The date of death matches her grave marker. Pinckney Pitman Lewis and Hattie L Boatwright had 8 children as you suggest. Lila was born 24-September-1892.
