I wondered what happened to John & Louisa after 1870. I thought maybe the had followed Charity to Indiana where their twin brothers, Jesse & Augustus had gone. charity went there sometime after 1864 following the death of Armstead in the Civil War. she remarried in 1867. I have a lot of information the the Venable family. Do you know what may have become of Squire Venable, younger brother of Louisa and Charity? The last anyone can seem to find is when he was living in Carroll County with his mother and step-father. The Stafford line enters in when Laura, my grandmother and daughter of Armstead and Charity married my grandfather, Olive Stafford in Indiana Oliver's father was Levi Stafford, son of Robertson & Hannah Johnson Stafford from Kernersville, Forsythe County North Carolina.
