  !He was killed by an automobile on Fancy Gap highway. That Highway goes from Mount Airy, North Carolina across the mountains at Fancy Gap just a few miles south of the Virginia border. My source document does not give his date of birth but says he was 17 years old when he was killed so he must have been born in 1912. !Marshall 0133, p. 17
