Notes - !I have two sources of his birthday. In the book "Genealogy and Lineage of John Thomas Johnson and his Descendents" the year is given as 1898. However, Gladys (Talbot) Johnson has a picture of him with 1897 written on it as the year of his birth. He is buried in the V. A. National Cemetery in Springfield,Missouri. His headstone lists him as a Yoeman 3rd Class in the U. S. Navy. I visited his gravesite in April, 1990.
