  !Marshall 0022 - It is not known for sure if this was really James' wife. There were three marriages for a James Marshall in Albermarle County, Virginia. However, it is generally believed that this was his wife. In the 1850 Stokes County, North Carolina census, a Milly Marshall is listed as age 70, living with her son, William.
